Asbestos removal is a big deal and helps people to know that they are living in a healthy environment. But finding where to get it done and having it gotten out of your home can be a long and painful process for many people.
The first step in removing it is to find out if it is even there in which you can search for asbestos professionals in your area.
There is likely only going to be one or two as there is not a huge need for it but some contractors that are general contractors also have a license to remove it which could be another option you might find online.
The next step after finding someone that is local to you is having them come out and look at the home. To find out if you have it they are cutting part of your wall and going under your home if you have a crawl space.
After they test the home if you do have it they can sit down and tell you the cost, whether or not to contact homeowners insurance, and how long you will have to be out of the house.
The next step from there is to remove everything from the home so that they can home in which is painful and hard but its worth it in the end.
When they do come in they will try to get it done quickly so that you are not out of your home more than a month tops but some people can go back after a week depending on the size of the home.
When everything is removed and put back you will have to paint the home again but other than that it will look as you left it for the most part only healthy for your family.
